The Berliner und Münchener Tierärztliche Wochenschrift (founded in 1888) is one of the most renowned scientific journals for veterinarians in Germany and the official publication of the Division of Bacteriology and Mycology of the German Veterinary Medical Society (DVG).
Aims and Scope
The Berliner und Münchener Tierärztliche Wochenschrift is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes contributions on all aspects of veterinary public health and its related subjects, such as epidemiology, bacteriology, virology, pathology, immunology, parasitology, and mycology. The journal publishes original research papers, review articles, case studies and short communications on farm animals, companion animals, equines, wild animals and laboratory animals. In addition, the editors regularly commission special issues on topics of major importance. The journal’s articles are published either in German or English and always include an abstract in the other language. All published scientific papers are permanently and freely available, and can be read and downloaded on our online platform, vetline.de.
General Information
The journal is published by Schlütersche Fachmedien GmbH. The editor-in-chief is Prof. Franz J. Conraths, former vice-president of the Friedrich Loeffler Institute. As scientific editor, Dr. Katja Schulz coordinates the peer review process and provides support for all submitted manuscripts.
