Publication Ethics Guidelines for Authors of Berliner and Muenchener Tieraerztliche Wochenschrift (BMTW)

To enhance transparency and underline our commitment to promote integrity in research and its publication, we, the editors and publisher of Berliner und Münchener Tierärztliche Wochenschrift (BMTW), request our authors to include the following statements to their manuscripts. We strongly support the recommendations by COPE, IAVE and ARRIVE.

Ethical Approval

Authors assure to have met common international ethical guidelines during the genesis of the work, the underlying research and its publication. Where relevant: All applicable international, national, and/or institutional guidelines for the care and use of animals were followed. Approvals of the authorities are stated within the material and methods section.

Conflict of Interest

There are no protected, financial, professional or other personal interests in a product, service and/or company that could influence the content or opinions expressed in the manuscript. In case of possible conflict of interest it has to be indicated clearly.

Funding

Authors have to state if their work was supported by a grant or other financial support and agree to make all data available upon reasonable request.

Authors’ Contribution

In multi-author papers they are requested to state the individual contribution of authors. The following roles and tasks shall be included herein, assigning a person’s name (abbreviating name and family name in majuscule letters) against: Conception or design of the work, data collection, data analysis and interpretation, drafting the article, critical revision of the article. The final approval of the version to be published has to be confirmed by all authors.
