Zusammenfassung

Die Luxatio antebrachii stellt bei der Katze eine selteneVerletzung dar, die wie beim Hund eine schnelle Repositiondes Gelenks erfordert. Bei chronischer Luxation ist häufigeine chirurgische Versorgung erforderlich, was insbesonderebei der Katze auf Grund der kleinen Gelenksstrukturenschwierig ist. Im vorliegenden Artikel wird über die chirurgischeVersorgung einer chronischen Ellbogenluxationbei einer Europäisch Kurzhaarkatze mittels transossäremSeitenbandersatz berichtet, der bisher nur experimentellbeschrieben wurde. Dabei wurde ein Nylonbandersatzdurch transossäre Bohrkanäle in Humerus, Radius und Ulnageführt. Neben der bereits vier Wochen alten chronischenLuxatio antebrachii lateralis lag auf der kontralateralen Seitezusätzlich eine proximale Humerusepiphysenfugenfrakturvor, die ebenfalls operativ versorgt wurde. Das Ziel war, dassdie Katze ohne externe Stabilisierung und ohne Käfigruheschnell ihre normale Bewegungsfähigkeit zurückerlangensollte, was bei den bisher beschriebenen Operationstechnikenzur Behandlung der Luxatio antebrachii mit anschließenderRuhigstellung des Gelenks nicht immer möglich ist.Die hier angewandte Operationstechnik des transossärenSeitenbandersatzes stellte ein stabiles Verfahren zur Versorgungder Luxatio antebrachii dar, das keine anschließendeRuhigstellung des Gelenks erforderte. Der Katze wurdelediglich der Freigang verwehrt. Unmittelbar postoperativerhielt sie eine physiotherapeutische Behandlung, wodurchdie Katze rasch ihren physiologischen Bewegungsumfangwiedererlangte.

The clinical use of a new technique for the surgical stabilisationof chronic antebrachial luxation using a transosseous collateralligament prosthesis
Antebrachial luxation in cats is a rare injury which, likein dogs, needs to be repositioned as soon as possible. Inchronic luxations, open reduction is more often requiredbut difficult, because the anatomical structures of the jointin cats are very small. This article reports the surgical care ofa chronicle elbow luxation in a European shorthair cat witha transosseous collateral ligament prosthetic replacement,so far only described experimentally. In this case, a nylonligament prosthesis is placed through bone tunnels inthe humerus, radius and ulna. In addition to the cat's fourweek-old antebrachial luxation, there was also a fracture ofthe proximal growth plate of the humerus on the contralateralside which was also stabilized. The aim was to givethe cat normal motility back quickly without external stabilisationand without cage rest. This would not have beenpossible using previously described surgical techniques forantebrachial luxation as they involve a subsequent immobilisationof the joint. The transosseous collateral ligamentprosthesis proved to be a stabile opportunity to treat anelbow luxation without immobilisation of the joint. Aftersurgery, the cat was only prevented from going outsideand the cat's physiological mobility returned very soonwith physiotherapy.
