Zusammenfassung
Ein vier Tage altes männliches Rauhwolliges Pommersches Landschaf zeigte vonGeburt an Bewegungsstörungen und eine rechtsseitige Kopfschiefhaltung mitInstabilität der Kopfhaltung. Die Lendenwirbelsäule wies eine Skoliose auf. Dasspontan verendete Lamm zeigte röntgenologisch und pathomorphologisch einepartielle Fusion des Atlas mit dem Hinterhauptsbein, eine Deformation von Atlasund Axis mit fehlendem Dens axis sowie eine Subluxation des atlanto-axialen Gelenks.Aufgrund dieser Befunde wurde die Diagnose einer kongenitalen okzipitoatlanto-axialen Malformation (OAAM) gestellt. Die Ursache der Missbildungkonnte nicht ermittelt werden. Da es sich um einen sporadischen Fall handelte,ist eine Aussage über die Erblichkeit nicht möglich.Schaf

Summary
A four day old male lamb of the sheep breed Pomeranian Coarsewool exhibitedlocomotory disturbances since birth. Its head was tilted to the right with insecureposition. The lumbar spine was scoliotic. The lamb, which died spontaneously,showed a partial occipito-atlanto fusion, malformations of atlas and axis, a missingdens axis and a subluxation of the atlanto-axial joint in X-rays and patho-morphologicalinvestigations. These findings supported the diagnosis of a congenitaloccipito-atlanto-axial malformation (OAAM). The cause of the malformation couldnot be clarified. As this case was sporadic, it was not possible to draw conclusionson inheritance.sheep
