Summary
Diagnostic procedures for many diseases in small animal patients include radiography of the abdomen. For the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases involving the liver, spleen, pancreas, lymph nodes and adrenal glands, knowledge about the physiological appearance and pathologic conditions of the organs is essential. In many cases, numerous differential diagnoses can be given for radiographic findings. Therefore additional diagnostic procedures may be necessary.
