Zusammenfassung

Zu den Rundzelltumoren gehören Mastzelltumoren,Lymphome, Melanome, histiozytäre Tumoren und Plasmazelltumorensowie Sticker-Tumoren und Merkelzelltumoren. ImJahr 2010 wurden insgesamt 2531 Rundzelltumoren von Hund undKatze histologisch untersucht. In diesem Einsendungsgut stammten90 % der Tumoren vom Hund und lediglich 10 % von der Katze.Beim Hund kamen histiozytäre (33,6 %), mastozytäre (32,2 %) undmelanozytäre (20,1 %) Tumoren am häufigsten vor. Bei der Katzeüberwogen die lymphozytären (51,2 %) und mastozytären (32,7 %)Neoplasien. Plasmozytäre und histiozytäre Tumoren wurden fast nurbeim Hund gefunden. Mastzelltumoren, lymphozytäre und melanozytäreTumoren unterscheiden sich bei Hund und Katze hinsichtlichihrer relativen Häufigkeit, Lokalisation, Morphologie und Prognoseerheblich. Rundzellige Tumoren erfordern in manchen Fällen eineimmunhistologische Charakterisierung, um die Diagnose abzusichern(z. B. CD3, CD79a, Melan A, lamda light chain) oder umAussagen zur Prognose (c–Kit, Ki–67 Antigen) zu machen.

Pathological characterization of round celltumours – differences between dogs and cats
Lymphoma, melanoma, histiocytic and plasmocytic neoplasmsas well as sticker sarcoma and merkel tumour belong tothe group of round cell tumours. In 2010, a total of 2531 round celltumours of dogs and cats were investigated in histological routinediagnostics. 90 % of the neoplasms derived from dogs, 10 %from cats. In dogs, histiocytic (33.6 %), mastocytic (32.2 %) andmelanocytic (20.1 %) tumours were most common. In contrast,lymphoma (51.2 %) and mast cell tumours (32.7 %) were mostcommon in cats. Plasmocytoma and histiocytoma were seen indogs but very rarely in cats. Frequency, localisation, morphologyand prognosis of mast cell tumours, lymphoma and melanoma arevery different in dogs and cats, respectively. Diagnosis (e. g. CD3,CD79a, melan A, lamda light chain) and prognosis (c–Kit, Ki–67Antigen) of round cell tumours require immunohistochemical methodsin some cases.
