Zusammenfassung
Es wird der Fall eines eosinophilen Granuloms des Gaumens bei einem drei Jahre alten Mops-Rüden vorgestellt. Das klinische Bild, die definitive Diagnosestellung mit einer Exzision für die histopathologische Untersuchung sowie die Therapie mit einem Kortikosteroid werden erläutert. Diese Entität, die vornehmlich bei Katzen gesehen und dem Formenkreis des eosinophilen Granulom-Komplexes zugeordnet wird, tritt selten beim Hund auf und wird hier erstmals bei der Rasse Mops beschrieben.
Summary
The case of an eosinophilic granuloma on the palate of a three-year-old male Pug is presented. The clinical fi ndings, definite diagnosis using surgical excision for histopathological examination and successful corticosteroid therapy are explained. This tumour, which belongs to the eosinophilic granuloma complex, often occurs in cats, but is rarely seen in dogs and is described here for the first time in a Pug.
