Zusammenfassung
Es wird über eine subspektakuläre granulomatös-fibrinöse Entzündungsreaktion bei einem Grünen Baumpython (Morelia viridis) berichtet. Während in der Literatur überwiegend Erkrankungen der Maulhöhle dafür verantwortlich gemacht werden, konnte hier eine granulomatöse Entzündung des Orbital- und Nasalraumes als Ursache identifiziert werden.
Summary
This is a case report about a subspectacular fibriscess in a Green Tree Python (Morelia viridis). Usually oral abnormalities and infections predispose to inflammatory reactions, however, in this case orbital and nasal granulomas were the origin.
