Summary
Two roughly four month old crossbreed pups with advanced paresis of both fore and hind limbs were presented. Clinical examination was followed up by radiographics, computertomographics and laboratory diagnostics including muscular biopsy and liquor analysis. Infection with Neospora caninum was diagnosed. Therapy consisted of sulfonamide/trimethoprim in combination with clindamycin for four weeks and led to complete remission at least in the younger, less affected pup.
