Summary
The present case report describes the treatment of a horse suffering from equine recurrent uveitis. The surgical treatment performed with a suprachoroidal cyclosporin-A implant did not prevent the subsequent ocular inflammation. In addition, a few days after installation, an intraocular implant displacement occurred. The further treatment of the horse is described and documented by digital photographs. Vision loss could not be prevented, but an inflammation-free optically normal eye was achieved by vitrectomy. The case gives rise to the critical consideration of the therapy form of the cyclosporin-A implantation.
