Dieser Fallbericht befasst sich mit der Diagnostik und Behandlung eines Cholesteatoms bei zwei Hunden. Cholesteatome sind im Mittelohr lokalisierte, expansiv wachsende Epidermoidzysten, die umliegende Strukturen durch Größenzunahme zerstören können. Die klinischen Symptome reichen von chronischen Otitiden, Kiefergelenkschmerzen bis hin zu neurologischen Ausfällen. Die Diagnostik erfolgte mittels Computertomografie.Summary
This case study describes the diagnosis and treatment of a cholesteatoma in two dogs. Cholesteatomas are epidermoid cysts characterised by expansive growth and destruction of adjacent tissue. The clinical symptoms include chronic otitis media, temporomandibular joint pain as well as neurological abnormalities. The diagnostic of choice is computed tomography.
