Zusammenfassung
Ein 18 Monate alter Chesky Terrier war wegen Dyspnoeund Husten mit blutigem Sputum vorgestellt worden.Während der klinischen Untersuchung wurden einedeutliche Muskelatrophie,Tachypnoe sowie diffuse undüber das gesamte Lungenfeld verteilte rasselnde Lungengeräuschefestgestellt. Bei der mikroskopischen Untersuchungdes spontan ausgeworfenen Sputums konntenmetastrongyloideNematoden nachgewiesen werden.Diese wurden in der Kotuntersuchungals Angiostrongylus vasorum klassifiziert.Summary
Diagnosis of lungworm disease in the sputum of a CheskyTerrierAn 18-month-old Chesky Terrier was presented because ofdyspnoea and coughing with bloody sputum. During theclinical examination, obvious muscle atrophy, tachypnoeaand breathing murmurs that were diffusely spread acrossthe lung field could be detected. Metastrongyloid nematodeswere found during the microscopic examination ofthe spontaneously ejected sputum. The nematodes wereclassified as Angiostrongylus vasorum from a faecal sample.
