Post mortem examination of its head revealed severe changes in the brain: it was largely destroyed by multiple abscesses caused by an infection with Pasteurella canis. The pathogenesis of this case is discussed. To the authors` knowledge this is the first report on Pasteurella canis-infection in roe deer.},
